Product Safety Issues!

One thing that must stay on top of your to do list is keeping product
safety issues in mind when selecting products to show clients.

If you fail to do so, the sale of just one order comprised of items
deemed unsafe by the (CPSIA) Consumer Product Safety Improvement
ACT can put you out of business.

Many distributors have shied away from awareness of the regulations
effecting promo items that were put in place when the
CPSIA act was passed in 2008. If you are not as knowledgeable as you
should be regarding this subject, here is what you need to know
about the initiative.

The act is meant to insure that products made for children under the
age of 12 are safe. It does this by controlling levels of metal and lead
that are used in products in order to make sure they are not
toxic. In addition, before anything is shipped, it must be inspected by a
CPSC accredited third party laboratory and when sent, include
a certificate providing evidence of compliance.

keep these thoughts in mind, you have made the first step to insure
that both you and your customers are safe from regulatory nightmares.
