Successful distributors promote themselves differently, but all of them do
one thing the same way. They make contact with people they do business
with on a regular basis.

They either call, e-mail, or postal mail something to prospects and customers frequently.

By continually promoting yourself, you will set yourself apart from 90%
of other distributors who employ hit and miss approaches when
it comes to contacting clients.

Action step….Create individual call sheets for your customers and record
your actions as they occur. If you see someone on Monday, make a note of it at
once by describing the type of contact that was made-phone, email, etc.

We have created sales sheets that include columns so we can write down
every step of the selling process. By visually looking at our list everyday,
we know when we need to make another impression on someone.

This is a far better approach to making sure that your calling pattern is on target,
as opposed to trying to keep this type of information on an electronic device!

The message that you use to tell prospects what you
do for a living is so very important! Never tell
prospects that you offer thousands of products at
competitive prices because they have heard that line
a thousand times before.

Promote yourself as a solution provider, someone that
also offers art services, print services, safety programs
and other marketing solutions.

When we meet people and they ask us what we do for a living,
we tell them that we own a marketing company. We never say
that we only sell promotional products. By stating that we
offer marketing solutions, we expand our horizons and are able
to make our pitch flexible so we are able to meet all the needs
they may have.

Anyone who buys promotional products also uses other services,
so don’t put yourself in a position that causes you to miss
Opportunities.

The biggest mistake salespeople make is they pigeon hole themselves
by limiting the possibilities. The easiest way to expand your sales
is by promotion yourself in the most appealing way possible.
